His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has consented the establishment of the Islamic Calligraphy and Art Study Centre, Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah on 13 January 2013.
Gallery of Islamic Calligraphy and Art Study Centre, Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah was inaugurated by His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Malik ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, Chairman of the Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Committee of Governors on 5 March 2020.
